BACKGROUND: Core
Dataware develops
mission-critical software packages for niche segments
of the entertainment industry. Rootbeer Media partnered
with Core Dataware to create ACTivity software (Activity
VO), the voice industry’s first scheduling and
job management web application designed specifically
for voice-over talent agencies.
Voice Agencies schedule 50-100 auditions a day at their
office. The daily procedures consist of many phone calls,
copying scripts, leaving voice messages, filing and
handling appointments. They were looking for a system
that could automate tasks and therefore save time and
money.
We built a web application. By understanding the voice
agency's current business process, we designed a custom
software system that manages and sets up appointments
electronically with agency clients. All communication
is done through a password protected website. What once
required an agency to make potentially hundreds of phone
calls a week can now be replaced by a simple application
that can save an agency up to thousands of hours of
labor a year.

CLIENT BACKGROUND: The
Altemus Company is a Real
Estate Brokerage Firm with a well-established quality
reputation specializing in leasing, sub-leasing, investment
sales, owner-user sales, property management and investment
syndication of Industrial and Commercial Properties.
The company needed a more efficient way to communicate
with it's prospective buyers.
We
developed a dynamic website that offers the visitor
information on The Altemus Company and their available
property listings. A prospective buyer or leasor of
Real Estate in Los Angeles can access all info within
seconds, including square footage, price, PDF download
of listing and view map. The Altemus Company saves money
on hard copy printouts, brochures and mailing fees.
Also, many hours are saved by sending prospective clients
to the website for all info relating to their company. |

BACKGROUND: Abrams
Artists Agency
has enjoyed a reputation as one of the nation's most
respected and diversified talent and literary agencies.
With principal offices in New York City and Los Angeles,
they represent clients in most areas of the entertainment
industry including motion pictures, television, animation,
theatre, radio and television commercials, hosting and
broadcasting, and all forms of narration. Abrams
Artists needed a website that could offer their voiceover
talent reels online.
We
designed a functional dynamic site that includes a flash
intro and mp3 downloads of over 650 voiceover demo reels.
This enables casting directors & producers to access
AAA's talent from anywhere in the world instantly! Each
catagory has it's own pop-up window that simulates a
jukebox for the demos, it displays material in a simple,
organized and user-friendy manner. The Agency saves
thousands of dollars each year by cutting down the number
of demo reel tapes duplicated and the cost of mailing
out those tapes. Also, the prospective buyer can hear
the reel within seconds, which is critical in the world
of voiceover casting. |

legacies – Musical Theatre. In their productions
of rarely revived, classic Broadway musicals, REPRISE!
brings together an extraordinary collection of performers,
directors, choreographers and designers to create an
ongoing home for musical theatre in Los Angeles.
